Establishing the Budget - 

Graphic Encounter Fine Art, located in Aspen, Colorado, and
Los Angeles, California, was engaged by the Interior Design Firm
LSA - Linda Snyder Associates - Torrance, California, to custom design numerous original interpretations of artwork for the 2020 renovation of the Crowne Plaza Houston Hotel - Houston, Texas.

The artwork was created to reflect the atmosphere surrounding the hotel’s historic River Oaks neighborhood, and the history of the Houston, Texas environment.

These works were printed on Laminated Tempered Glass, Fine Art 100% Rag Paper, Artist Canvas, and Dibond Aluminum, for the public areas of the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Houston, Texas.

Although there was no precise artwork budget established for the custom artwork, our design and fabrication directive, was to create a body of work that spoke to a very expressive narrative.

The Design Narrative - 

LSA - Linda Snyder Associates of Torrance, California, enlisted Graphic Encounter Fine Art, to custom design numerous original interpretations of artwork, that reflected the atmosphere surrounding the hotel’s historic River Oaks neighborhood, and the history of the Houston, Texas environment.

The Custom Art Curation - 

David Jordan Williams, Creative Director for GEFA, worked closely with Linda Snyder, the President of LSA, and her design team, to create works that defined the spirit of the hotel.

Fabrication - 

Once the original art designs were approved by LSA’s design team, Graphic Encounter Fine Art provided custom maquettes on the various specified substrates, of Artist Canvas, 100% Rag Paper, and Dibond Aluminum, prior to production.


Original Canvas Artwork was individually boxed to prevent damage to the canvas surface, during transit / installation to the project.
