Establishing the Budget -
Graphic Encounter Fine Art, was engaged by the Architectural Firm - Bergman & Walls of Henderson, Nevada, to custom design over 150 original works of art, which were printed on Fine Art 100% Rag Paper and Artist Canvas, for the Guest Rooms and Guest Suites for the 2020 Renovation - Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln, California
Although there was no precise artwork budget established for the renovation, our design and fabrication directive, was to custom design original artwork imagery, that would be provided to the property, custom framed in a variety unique framing styles, providing the focus for the Guest Rooms / Guest Suites, and public areas of the entire project.
It was important to be sensitive to competitive pricing guidelines.
The Design Narrative -
Bergman Walls & Associates of Henderson, Nevada, enlisted the design and fabrication services of Graphic Encounter Fine Art to create original works that would compliment and highlight the Guest Room and Guest Suites, for the 2020 renovation of this Indian Gaming property located near Sacramento, California.

Graphic Encounter Fine Art was very creative and contributed to an extraordinary result for Thunder Valley Casino & Resort.
Fabrication -
Once the original art designs were approved by the various design teams, Graphic Encounter Fine Art provided custom maquettes on the varied specified substrates of fine Artist Canvas, and Fine Art paper, prior to production.
Graphic Encounter Fine Art provided custom mounted and framed, dye cut pattered leather in shadow box frames as unique decor items as well for the guest suites of the project.
Our publishing division subsequently printed the artworks in their full size formats. Once completed, these images were custom matted and custom framed, in 20 different custom matting and framing styles.
Original canvas artwork was individually boxed to prevent damage to the surface during transit to the job site, and the possibility of damage during the installation of these items from the warehouse to the job site.
Thunder Valley Casino Resort is owned and operated by the United Auburn Indian Community, opening in June 2003. Located 30 miles east of Sacramento, Thunder Valley offers 250,000 square feet of gaming space – including over 2,700 slot and video machines, 103 table games and a live poker room with space for 240 players.
The resort features 14 restaurants and bars and is home to a luxury, 17-story hotel with a large banquet and entertainment hall capable of hosting events for up to 850 guests. An expansive outdoor pool offers private cabanas with hi-def TVs, dressers and changing area. Coconut Bar features poolside food and beverage service.
Thunder Valley Casino Resort Hotel Receives Coveted AAA Four Diamond Rating
LINCOLN, CA – AAA has notified Thunder Valley Casino Resort that the Thunder Valley Hotel and High Steaks Steakhouse have received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond rating for the sixth consecutive year in a row.
“Receiving the Four Diamond rating is a tremendous honor. We are very pleased with the results of this year’s AAA evaluation,” said Dawn Clayton, General Manager of Thunder Valley Casino Resort. “Achieving a AAA Four Diamond rating for both the Thunder Valley Hotel and High Steaks Steakhouse is a true testament to the hospitality, service and attention to detail that our guests have come to enjoy. The AAA Diamond Rating Process is North America’s premier resort rating program. Establishments eligible for a Diamond rating undergo a thorough assessment including unscheduled evaluations by anonymous AAA inspectors. To achieve a Four Diamond rating, an establishment must offer an extensive array of upscale amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail.
Thunder Valley Casino Resort hotel received the first AAA Four Diamond award in 2011 and has received it each year since. High Steaks Steakhouse first received the AAA Four Diamond award in 2012.
Thunder Valley’s 17-story hotel features 297 opulent rooms that feature lavishly oversized marble bathrooms with European spa showers, separate soaking tub, plush robes and bed linens, hi-def flat-screen TVs, wireless internet access, in-room dining services and much more.
Thunder Valley’s hotel is in the process of adding 111 luxury rooms and suites to enhance the on-property experience as a AAA Four Diamond destination resort.
