I have had a distinguished scientific career as a researcher, textbook author, inventor, and university professor. I am a Life Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. I have 31 patents and more than 100 publications. But this part of my resume is not relevant to art, so I will skip it.

A couple of years ago I discovered my “inner artist” hidden inside the scientist shell and became an award-winning photographer. Photography became my passion, obsession, and a main reason of being. I love to discover the world through the eye of the camera, to see its hidden beauty or unusual features of "ordinary" things. My artwork is permeated by my fascination with abstract patterns, reflections, surrealistic images, and human faces. 

I am a volunteer photographer for the Special Olympics – an organization dedicated to helping people with intellectual disabilities to succeed in life by involving them in sport activities. My current project deals to documenting the lives of people with mental disabilities.
