The Announcement -
2003 - Graphic Encounter is very proud to announce that the venerable interior design firm, Wynn Design and Development,
awarded our firm the prestigious contract to provide the Pop Art
imagery of “America’s most famous artist,” Andy Warhol, and
the Cubist imagery of “The most influential artist of the 20th Century, Pablo Picasso,” for the 2,600+ Guest Rooms, and Guest Suites,
Steven Wynn’s - WYNN LAS VEGAS, due to open in 2005.
Located on the beloved ground of the former Desert Inn, where
Frank Sinatra starred in his first lounge show in 1950, the new hotel will offer a championship 18 hole golf course on the strip, and a Ferrari car dealership. WYNN LAS VEGAS will be the tallest hotel in Las Vegas, and will be the most expensive hotel in the world.
Andy Warhol’s Daisy portrayal, rendered in five different color ways, will adorn the walls of each Guest Room. Each of these images will be individually lighted to highlight Andy Warhol’s artwork.
Fabrication -
One of the design objectives, outlined by Roger Thomas, the head of design for Wynn Resorts, was to provide each image without glass, to mitigate any reflection in the room, and to provide a laminated surface to capture the retro feel of the minimalist approach to the
matte black custom framing of these iconic images.
One of the notable assets my firm provided as part of the overall budget pricing, was to provide the five individual images that were required for each room, ‘in one box’ - so that the installation of the 2,600 Guest Rooms, and Guest Suites, could be accomplished quickly and efficiently.

December 22, 2008 - Graphic Encounter is very proud to announce, that the venerable interior design firm, Wynn Design and Development - Las Vegas, Nevada, awarded our firm the prestigious contract to provide Custom printed and Custom Framed, Fine Art Canvas images of the ’now’ famous ’08 design, which artistically memorialized the ’08 opening of this luxury casino resort, located
next to Wynn Las Vegas - Las Vegas, Nevada.
This imaginative, 2,034-room, destination hotel project, cost $2.3 billion dollars. Roger Thomas, Mr. Wynn’s head of interior design, created the public spaces to feature a combination of European and Asian influences, together with whimsical designs, including strong red influences, and an exotic butterfly motif.

2014 - The Design Narrative
Graphic Encounter Fine Art, headquartered in Aspen, Colorado and Los Angeles, California, was engaged by MGM Resorts International, Las Vegas, Nevada, to custom print, and custom frame, original high-fashion photography images of people, floating in water, for the luxurious 1,122 guestrooms and suites.

MGM Resorts International rebranded THE Hotel, in partnership with Morgans Hotel Group, and re-named the property Delano Las Vegas. The new property was inspired by the Delano South Beach in Miami, capturing a Mojave Desert theme, while at the same time, paying homage to Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
The public area of THE Hotel displays a 150 million year old Metaquartzite boulder, weighing 126,000 lbs. The hotel's designers
had discovered the boulder while trekking in the Mojave Desert.
THE Hotel, includes original artwork by Jasper Johns, Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Richard Serra, Valerie Belin, and Donald Judd.

Establishing the Budget -
Graphic Encounter Fine Art, headquartered in Aspen, Colorado and Los Angeles, California, was engaged by Klai Juba Architects - Las Vegas, Nevada to custom design 12 original high-fashion photographs which would be the focus of the guest room renovation for the Palms Casino Resort, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Design Narrative + Fabrication
Klai Juba Architects, with offices in Las Vegas, Nevada, is a well respected Architectural firm, that specializes in Hospitality, Entertainment, and Gaming projects. Working closely with Graphic Encounter Fine Art, the high-fashion, brightly colored images were custom framed in chrome metal frames and assembled ‘end to end’ to create a 17’ long wall portrayal.
