About David Bullanday

I am a photographer from West Texas who specializes in cloudscapes shot from aircraft. Almost four decades of drawing, painting, and study of art laid my foundation for the camera, and my formal training took place in architecture school. My work is deeply influenced by landscape paintings and monumental architecture. Sunlight, shadow, rain, wind, and seasonal weather patterns offer me endlessly varied subjects. I can, and often do, spend hours in flight gazing tirelessly at the storms, my senses reeling in awe at the majestic, timeless beauty of our world.
